George is a 1982 graduate of Bryant College with a Bachelor of Science degree. In 1991, he received the Graduate Alumni Council Scholarship Award also from Bryant College and in 1992 he received a Master of Science in Taxation with honors. George is a member of the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants. He serves on their business and industry committee (past chairman) and the Personal Financial Planning Committee. George is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Estate Planning Council of Rhode Island.

George has over twenty-five years experience practicing as a certified public accountant, providing income tax and estate tax planning strategies to closely held businesses and their owners.

George currently serves as treasurer and is past president of the board of directors of Nickerson House Community Center. He is also a member of the finance and pension committees of the Providence Public Library. George is a member of the Professional Advisory Council of the Rhode Island Foundation. George is a founding member of the Professionals Breakfast Group. He is a past ambassador of the North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce and former team leader of Junior Achievement of Rhode Island, and has served as an executive volunteer with the United Way of Southeastern New England.

George is a frequent speaker on a wide range of tax related topics for both professional organizations and for the general public.

George coaches for North Kingstown Soccer Association and enjoys golf, cycling, and gardening.
