Bernadette is a 1993 graduate of the State University of New York, College at Plattsburgh (SUNY-Plattsburgh) where she received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting. As a senior at SUNY-Plattsburgh, she received the Dean’s Award as the outstanding student of the College of Business and Economics. Bernadette is also a 1996 graduate of the University of West Florida (UWF) where she earned a Master of Accountancy Degree, with a concentration in taxation. While at UWF, she was admitted to membership in Beta Gamma Sigma, the national honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International. Bernadette received the Nicholas Picchione Silver Award for Outstanding Merit on the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Exam in November 1996. This award is typically given to the person who achieves the second highest score on the exam while passing all four parts on their first sitting. She is a member in good standing of the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Bernadette has ten years of experience in public accounting with expertise in the taxation of subchapter S corporations andclosely-held companies. Bernadette is married with three children.
